We all need analytics! Just like I let my grandmother take my measurements when I need to tailor some pants, I think I’ll let the sweet old lady on this page take the measurements on the site, too. It only seems right.

Who wouldn't want a Cat for Breakfast?... Umm - I mean.

Making my morning sample sale rounds, I stumble upon this amazing and inspirational design find. Like a starving artist, this may look like an ordinary, ugly, empty bowl saved from 1972 that probably should have been thrown away at the last church tag sale. At the very least, it should have been given to a homeless man to collect coins on Santa Monica Blvd. Possibly even better, a cat-lady recluse could have used it to collect chockees like buttons and thimbles to share with the voices in her head.

BUT WAIT!

Fill it with sustenance and that empty vessel of a starving artist now has a voice and meaning! He takes shape; and what an appropriate shape he takes- that of the feline form.

If you would like to join Fab.com “Fab.com features daily design inspirations and sales at up to 70% off retail”.

YouTube Sensation, Chuck Testa from Ojai Valley Taxidermy and his 2.8 million youtube hits!

Taken from his website, :, “Ojai Valley Taxidermy began its long journey in the summer of 1981. Intrigued by a do it yourself bird mounting kit ordered from the back of a magazine, Chuck Testa’s initial curiosity became a hobby and continues on.

Knowing the Taxidermy business was the right fit and willing to throw caution to the wind, Ojai Valley Taxidermy opened its doors full time in 1987. Housed in the beautiful Ojai Valley of Southern California, Taxidermy is a most unusual business for the area more known for exclusive artists, entertainers and millionaires.”

Chuck Testa has also been featured on CNBC! Thanks to IFC program called “Rhett & Link: Commercial Kings”, which decided to help him make a commercial to boost business, Chuck’s commercial has gotten over 2.8 million hits on Youtube.

OMG it's here [almost]- the iPhone 5!

The date has been announced. I can once again join the living! I recall that day that memory cannot erase when my night before desperately called for an electrolyte remedy. Unfortunately, that same remedy spilled in my purse; yes, the same purse that served as trusted iPhone’s- my connection to society- home. It was at that moment when the Gatorade’s faulty top came loose and my dreams of social media on-the-go came to a screeching halt.

Well no more! Today, release date for the iPhone 5 was [almost] announced: Apple today announced that it will be holding its next iPhone event on Tuesday, October 4th and then expect to be able to line up and purchase your next iPhone on Friday, October 14th.

ben heine: pencil vs. camera

“‘pencil vs. camera’ by ivory coast-born brussels-based photographer ben heine is a series of images that inject hand-drawn pictures within real-life settings to create a composite effect that is often surreal and highly narrative. manipulating the backdrop to host added elements such as real-life tetris blocks, floating speech bubbles, and an alcoholic panda, the photographs are an exercise in manual photoshop, always including heine’s hand which holds up the sketched piece of paper in the foreground.

alarmingly accurate and crisply focused, the series puts great care in the alignment and perspective required to successfully pull off the optical illusion. heine creates seemingly effortless snapshots that are highly imaginative and contextual. “

Dragontape is a collaborative online video merging service with which you can drag online videos starting with YouTube onto a 'tape' that can be shared with the world.

Basically, DragonTape is a browser-based visual playlist editor, which enables users to merge video files from different online sources into one. The result is a new gapless video which can be easily shared and embedded as if it was a single file – meanwhile the sources remain in their original location so there are no duplicates only a rearrangement of files. With the quick search function users can find their favourite video within seconds and integrate it into their playlist by simply dragging it on their endless tape.

The idea behind Dragontape was born after a party in Peter’s apartment late 2009 where he asked his friends to bring their YouTube playlists in order to turn a simple get-together with music in the background into a fun and entertaining social event.
