APlus Convenience Store
In a commodified category and with gas prices moving ever higher, making consumers more price conscious, Sunoco needed to find a way to compete on something other than price. They chose to reformulate their coffee to make it more gourmet and needed a re-branding effort to communicate that to consumers. By re-branding more than just the coffee beans, the entire APlus store to positioned Sunoco as a destination for more than just gas. From the coffee cups to the service islands to the store walls, APlus was revamped to be a place that consumers could go to grab some eggs, a sandwich or a cup of coffee and also get their gas while they were there.
